I live in Salado, TX which is located about 40 miles north of Austin.  I like to fish all the rivers, streams, and lakes in the Central Texas area.  My favorite fishing areas are Stillhouse Hollow Lake, Belton Lake, Colorado River (below Austin), Brazos River, and Salado Creek.  I've been kayak fishing since 2008 and have tried several different boats.  I own a Sporting Goods store called Salado Creek Outfitters and I sell and rent kayaks.  This means I get to try a lot of different boats and gear.  My current favorite is the Heritage Featherlite 12 ft.  I have one that's part of my rental fleet and it's really beat up and has been welded twice, but it's my favorite.   I also have a paddle club called Cen-Tex Paddlers and we have about 50 members.  We schedule monthly paddling and fishing trips 9 months out of the year.
